So Fatty’s coming on and playing, trying to inject a bit of pace and tempo or rescue a situation in the last five or ten minutes. Fati just hasn’t been his old self; when we saw a little momentum but no absolute consistency there, but we’ve got to remember before he got injured, he was an upcoming player, and he was given the number 10 shirt, obviously, but was he ready for it? I don’t think so.

If he was 23 or 24, I would say move on to a different club, but you are only 20 now. 20 years old and coming off the back of injuries; with the squad, he’s got there with the manager he has, but he needs some patience. Wait for a few seasons; if it’s not working out, he may plan to move out.
Additionally, FC Barcelona has to win something, especially given their financial situation. They don’t have the luxury of compromising the quality of performing weekly basic to provide time to a future start recovering from his injury issues. Therefore, it’s all about developing these young upcoming players in these difficult situations. And it’s up to these players to take these limited opportunities and make the most out of them. If you love the club, show in your hard work and performance that you deserve the chance. If Fati consistently performs well, FC Barcelona will have one of the most promising young talents in football.
